Swimming In The Pool

Sean is a total natural when it comes to swimming in the pool. He loves to jump in and swim around. He says "kick, kick" when he moves his feet and we are working on the arms doing the "doggie paddle". If he wants an object he swims over and gets it with no problems when he uses his swimmy arms. If he gets too tired he says "Mama Help" and he grabs on to your hand. Sean likes to go under the water and hold his breath when he is playing on the second step of our pool but only for a couple seconds. His newest feat is getting on top of the lounging raft and jumping into the pool. Don't get too close to Sean if he has a cup in his hand because he will fill it with water and throw it at you. I guess we are having a little carry over with that baseball arm of his.

Chilling with my Homies

Sean has a zillion stuffed animals so he was hanging out with his bears while we were finishing some last minute projects.

Disney Dreams

Sean and Mickey hanging out before they go to sleep after another fun filled day at "Mickey's Park"!
Nana and Papa got Sean his very own 2009 Mickey. He loves to put blankets on it and cuddle with it at night. Mickey is like his long lost friend.
We could not finish talking about our Disney trip without a picture from Buzz Lightyear. Sean was a pro at shooting the gun and almost got as many points on his own as his Nana.

California Adventure

We had to start off with the Mickey Wheel which was one of Sean's favorite rides to go on at California Adventure. We went on this ferris wheel 3 times. The first two times we went on the car that did not move around the wheel. Then Sean ran into the wrong line on the third ride and we accidentally got stuck in the car that swings in to the center of the wheel and out to the end of the wheel. We tried to look like we were excited but the car was moving pretty fast and it looked like it would fly off the end especially when you were near the top. Sean now talks about the Mickey Wheel rocking....next time we will stick with the boring stationary cars.
One of the newest rides is Toy Story Mania. Dave wanted to try to get top score but this ride had a long line since it is so popular so we only went on it twice. You have to wear 3D classes and try to shoot things that you see on the fair midway. Dave was so competitive Sean just looked at him like he was crazy. Mr. Potato Head (behind us) liked to talk and kept Sean entertained while we were in line.

Dave and Sean ventured on the bumper bugs. Sean could not see over the top so dad did most of the steering.
The Chew, Chew Train went through tasty watermelon that pumped out watermelon smells and the smell of animal crackers was upon us as we went through the animal cracker tunnel. The very slow train was based on the Bug's Life Movie.

Mickey Mania!

The highlight of our trip were the 3 visits we made to see Mickey at his house. We did not realize how excited Sean would be to see Mickey. The first time we went to see Mickey Sean ran up to him and gave him a great big hug. He would not let go.
The second time Sean saw Mickey he wanted to HONK his nose. Mickey put his hand over his nose to joke with Sean because he did not want him to grab his nose. Sean was an absolute Mickey fan. He would call his name while we waited in line and kept screaming - MICKEY when he saw him. After we left he kept saying, "Mickey's Nose" or "Honk Mickey".

Disneyland

Sean was a real race car driver at Autotopia. He kept hitting the rail as he drove the car and made the car bounce the jerk several times. Everyone was laughing so hard they were crying. I was left to take the pictures since this ride was off limits for the pregnant people.
Off course the obsession with carousels continues and they had 2 wonderful rides for Sean to go around on. ONe had horses and the other was swarming with sea creatures. He would say "neigh, neigh" as he rode the horses in Fantasyland.
Sean wanted to kiss the little "Nemo" fish in Toontown. He thought it was so cute and would watch it float to the top of the bowl.
Dumbo was our second ride when we went to Disneyland. Sean was able to go on it 3 times during our stay. He likes to go up and down as he pushed the lever. Now when he sees the Disneyland commercial on TV with Dumbo in it he starts to scream.

Huntington Beach

We decided to hit the beach in California for a day before we headed to Disneyland. Sean could not get enough of the water and the sand. He loved to hide his feet and cars in the sand. He would say "where are you?"
The water was a bit cold but Sean refused to get out. He had purple lips and chattering teeth but that did not stop him. He loved to splash in the waves and watch his feet sink in the sand. Now that we are back home Sean keeps saying "beach" when he sees his beach toys and towels.
After a bit of the fun we rested on the blanket and Sean took a nap. He must have really liked to listen to the sound of the waves.
Sean kept asking for his Nana and Papa to take him back down to the water to play. Since his dad was playing in the waves we decided it was too cold and played near the shore.
