Our Little Dancer

Sean loves to walk around the house and dance to the music on the radio. His favorite thing to do is bounce up and down and wave his hands to the music. He points to the radio when he wants to hear the music. Sometimes he reaches his hands up into the air so you can dance around the room with him. Although you can not hear the music very well Sean makes you get into the groove.

Rolly Polly Class

Each Saturday Sean and his friend Ava go to a gym class where they learn how to balance, push, pull, and climb. Sean loves going to the class and has been able to walk on the balance beam and the trampoline runner with greater coordination. Although he is still wobbly he is really improving each week we go to class. When he tumbles he knows to tuck his head and put his hands on the bright orange model hands. Jumping in the foam pit can get him upset if he gets stuck and can't get out. We also go into the big bouncy house and down the slide at the end of each class.

Sean At 11 Months

Do you believe that Sean turned 11 months on July 13th? Some of his favorite things to do include waving to people, asking for "more" using sign language, moving his legs really fast so he pretty much is running, reading his favorite book, Where is Babies Belly Button?, dancing when he hears music, and screeching at the top of his lungs when we go to restaurants. Sean is now entering the tantruming stage and when he does not get his way he starts to scream and cry. He loves to walk around the house with the phone and now the broken phone is his best friend. When you go over to the radio Sean looks at you and stops. The he starts to move up and down like he is dancing and wave his arms. Another one of his favorite games is to shut himself in the pantry and open the door to come out. He is getting on his tippy toes and grabbing things off the counters on the island. A couple weeks ago at a playdate, he grabbed a mom's hot dog off the end table and started to eat it. He had ketchup and mustard all over his clothes. That was not enough though, he grabbed the cup off the table and spilled is down the front of him. Sean spent the rest of the playdate in his diaper. He is eating all table foods including chicken, asparagus, grapes, pasta, and graham crackers. Sean has really gotten used to swimming in the pool and likes to stand on the step and climb out of the pool so he can go over and eat the rocks. We are counting down the days until Sean's First Birthday. We are getting sad because pretty soon he will not be a little baby any more (not that he was ever little)!

Fourth of July

With temperatures soaring we had a great time hanging out at the pool and playing in the backyard. The fireworks took a little longer than expected to start and Sean decided to get a little cranky.

San Diego

It was so nice to travel to San Diego and sit on the sandy beach as a family. Sean was not sure of the waves crashing and sand sinking below his feet. He liked to play with his sand buckets on the blanket and found eating sand to be a great treat. We were able to go to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. Sean pointed to the animals and made loud screeching noises. When we went to the Hotel del Coronado, Sean was like a movie star as some out of town travelers snapped pictures of our cute baby.

Sean in June

Here are some pictures of Sean from June. He loves to run around and make us chase after him. He is getting a little personality and likes to look at animals and wave to everyone that walks by.
