Present and Cake

Sean and his friends gather around to open presents during his birthday party.
What more can you say! He loves cake!

Sean's Second Birthday Party

Sean and his friend Jake had their birthday party together at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center on August 2nd (right between their birthdays). Sean had several activities including the parachute, tumbling mats, bounce house, and roller coaster car. He was kept busy for the entire time and had a blast running from one activity to the next. Sean loved his Nemo cake and still talks about it a couple weeks after the party. He was a natural at blowing out the candle and he ate the entire cupcake!
Sean and some of his friends play on the parachute while the adults make it go up and down.
The roller coaster car has always been one of his favorite activities when he went to the tumbling class so it did not shock us that he wanted to go on it over and over again. It was so nice for the moms to be able to leave the clean up to someone else.
Alec and Sean are bouncing up and down with the instructor of our birthday class.

Imagination Ave.

Sean met his little friend Kailey at Imagination Ave. for a fun morning of playing. It was a long drive for us but totally worth it because Sean had a blast and did not want to leave.
Sean spent most of his time playing with the train table. He loved moving the cars along the track. Even though there were so many things to do he was so occupied with the table that he would not venture to all the other activities.

Soccer Class

Well I thought it was a good idea to try a soccer class since Sean was so interested in the ball. Little did I know that he would fight us the whole way and refuse to do anything during the soccer class. I guess we should have waited a bit longer before enrolling him. We only have to tough out 3 more classes.

Swimming Through the Summer

Sean was a natural right from the start with his ability to swim in the pool. He loves to jump off the side and swim to the waterfall. He spends the majority of his time on the step playing with his boats and buckets. His newest thing to say is "bee in the pool" as he watches for wasps and bees that like to drink the water. We found a couple of small spiders near the pool in the past so when Sean kept calling "mama, spider" we did not really think he saw a spider. So we told him not to touch the spider and we would be right there. Little did we know that Sean knew exactly what a spider was and he had found a black widow spider sitting on the waterfall. Now we take him seriously if he talks about any type of bugs.
Sean has found that the raft can also be a fun time and likes to sit on the raft as you make it bounce up and down. Then he swims off the side and goes under the water.
Sean is a pro at blowing bubbles. Here you can see the little bubbles that he is blowing.
Our little swimmer!

Chocolate Face

Sean loves to mix the batter and make cakes. His favorite part is to like the beaters clean. As you can tell he is not complaining about the taste.
