I was having problems uploading this but here it is so I hope it works. Here is Claire taking her first steps on July 21st. She is getting more comfortable and now is able to take 6-12 steps in some instances.

Build A Bear
Jake had his 3rd birthday at Build-A-Bear. What a wonderful time we had creating the bears and watching the kids light up. It was a blast to watch a bunch of boys run around.
Sean chose the dog and loves doing all the activities to make his new little friend.
These bear cupcakes were so cute. Great idea Jen!!!
Science Museum
What a great time at the Science Museum last week. I was not sure how appropriate it would be for our little ones but it was a blast. We spent over 4 hours there and headed over to Ted's (the only food we can get from Buffalo out here) for hot dogs.
Sean refused to go on the nails but we forced him up there and this picture is priceless. I love the expression on his face.
Claire liked to hang out in the toddler section. They had an area with a house and blocks for the little ones.
Sean's favorite thing was the weather simulator which I was unable to get a picture off. It showed lightning, hurricanes, and other types of weather. You got wet, the wind blew you, and the heat went on during the volcano...tons of fun!

Two Peas in a Pod
Claire is 8 Months

Well the last month has been quite a difficult time for poor Claire. She spent most of the month on antibiotics for her 2 ear infections. The first one never cleared up with the medication and then it turned into a double ear infection. So Claire has been holding on to mommy for the month and now all this threw her really good sleep habits into a frenzy. Today Claire turned 8 months old. It is hard to believe all the baby stuff is back collecting dust because she has outgrown it. Where has the time gone?
Claire:
-eats Cheerios like they are the last food on Earth
-takes little cat naps or likes to lay with you for a couple hours (not doing well with naps these days)
-hates to go into her crib and cries every time
-bounces up and down when she listens to music
-waves goodbye to grandma and grandpa at the door by opening and closing her hand
-is trying to get back her equilibrium from those nasty ear infections
-goes crazy when she sees you eats and tries to grab your food
-likes to drink out of a cup with help of course and is starting to use a sippy cup (still LOVES the bottle)
-grabs little specs of dust and pieces of food that are on the floor
-puts everything in her mouth
-responds to her name and will look at you if you call her
-does not like when you leave the room or set her down..spending more time walking around with mom
-loves to be held and walked around, no sitting in the chair for you
-crawls like lightning
-will crawl over to you and pull herself up on your leg when she wants to be held and hold her hands up toward you
-has a couple little curls in the back on her hair
-is still loving the binkie
-smiles and giggles when someone helps her walk around the room by holding her hands
-loves her hippos walker and walks across the room onto the tile really quickly now
-eats chunky babyfood but still doesn't have a tooth in site
-likes to look at you in the mirror and play peek-a-boo
-loves the storytime at the library
-says "dada" and loves to babble and talk
-stands for 10 seconds by herself and sometime longer and shorter (the ear infection thing put this on the back burner but today she was back at it)
-will push herself up to a stand from a shorter object like your leg or grab on to you and let go
-likes to crawl over to the door stopper and try to eat it and hear the noise it makes
-is the cutest darn little girl around!
Don't Try Ice Skating!
Well Dave and his hockey obsession got the ice skating frenzy going at our house. Sean wanted to go ice skating after he saw the rink a couple miles from our house. After the experience Sean said he does not like ice skating. Well so much for that...lets try baseball instead. Ice skating is too much work according to Sean. Plus it does not help when your father forgot how to ice skate. Lets just say that we were laughing so hard we thought we were going to cry.
This is the best it got with the ice skating. Showing off those lovely blue skates!
Who is holding onto the wall more Dave or Sean?
Phoenix Children's Museum

Claire is getting ready for dance lessons!
Sean wanted to dish out ice cream for over a half hour. He played until we threw him over Dave's shoulder and he left kicking and screaming.
Well we had a bunch of follies during this trip to the museum. Lets just say I don't know how Dave and I had any patience when the day was over but the time was absolutely precious.
