Kids Faire

Last weekend we went to Kids Faire at the football stadium. They had tons of displays and great things for kids to do. Sean was able to drive a fire truck and dress up in the fire gear.
His favorite ride was the bouncy cars. He went on the ride with his friend Jake and he laughed the entire time. I never seen him have such a great time on a ride.

Sean is showing off on the airplanes. Another ride he absolutely loved. He also was able to see a show with Dorothy the Dinosaur and the dog from the Wiggles. We thought they were going to have a show with the Yo Gabba, Gabba characters but that was the day before and Sean was not happy about that. He was able to see many of the characters from programs on t.v. and the line to see Dora was super long so we just waved.
Wow how you have grown! Our little guy is over 3 feet tall. He got his mug shot taken for a loss prevention program for kids.
The animal show was a hit when the brought out the huge lizards, turkeys, turtles, and birds. Sean had a front row spot to see the animals. The hardest part was to make sure that he did not jump over the yellow barrier and chase the animals.

Elmo

They had an Elmo party at a local toy store but when we got their this was the cheesy Elmo costume that the guy was wearing. It is really too bad the outfit was not the best because Sean took some great pictures with the big red guy.

Belly Flop

The pool is starting to cool down but Sean does not care. He wants to go up in the sky and splash in the water. Now he is thrown up in the air and comes down and goes under by himself. He absolutely laughs and asks to be thrown up again.

Sean is jumping off the to of the water feature at his grandma's house. This looks like a belly flop to me. But Sean did not care so he swam to the steps, ran to the top of the waterfall, and jumped in again.

Fun Day on the Rides

We decided to take the kiddos over to Freestone Park on the rides for a morning of fun. Sean was looking forward to going on the train so we thought it would be fun. We got on the first train ride and went about 100 feet and the train broke down. Luckily they were able to fix it and we went on before we left. Sean loves to shout "All Aboard the Choo-Choo" when he was on the train. Above: Sean driving his friend Addi on a date..haha!
Going on the wave runners!

Sean is totally obsessed with ferris wheels. He was yelling, "high in the sky" when he was up at the top. He could not get enough of the ride and keeps calling it the Mickey Wheel because of the ferris wheel he went on this summer in California Adventure.

Too Cute!

I could not believe Sean kept the hat on at his friend Addi's birthday. We had a great time at the party eating pizza and playing games.
We met some animals that the Phoenix Zoo brought to Tumbleweed Rec. Center. At the end the kids could pet the ferret. Sean was really excited and kept saying "Ferret".

Fun at the Mall

Although this mall experience only comes once a month Sean is totally loving this musical entertainment. All he wanted to do the entire time with hug the warthog. The warthog was really nice and kept coming up to Sean. In July he went up on the stage and played the instruments with a bunch of kids. In August, he ran up to the stage as they sang Happy Birthday to the kiddos born in August. Dave said he did not really care and was coloring a book with crayons on the floor.

Singing in the Rain

During Labor Day weekend it actually rained at our house for the first time in a couple weeks. We had quite a downpour and Sean was eager to take out the umbrella and use it for the first time since July. Then we were in the pool and Sean said, "rain, rain, go away come again." We were cracking up laughing.
Sean is in our front yard hanging out with the umbrella and trying to catch the rain drops. He kept saying, "Mom it is raining, lightning, thunder boom!" We thought it would clear up in about 20 minutes like most of our rain storms do but this one kept going for a few hours.

Birthday Cake

We must have relit the candles a dozen times so that Sean could continue to blow out the candles. He kept saying, "blow candles" and he was able to get them all out in one big sweep of air. He could not wait to dig in to his extra crunchy ice cream cake with fudge in the middle.
Sean has a blast with Mickey on the top and the blue frosting was everywhere by the time his was done.
Our Little Guy is 2!
Sean and Grandpa shared the birthday party together but Sean was the main attraction.

Opening Presents

More presents were abound as he tore the wrapping paper off the gifts.
Now that Sean found the piggie bank he could not get enough. He emptied everyones' pockets of all of their change in order to fill up his piggie bank. This was a great gift and he managed to make it worth his while with all the money he was able to put inside.
We just placed a huge handful of money on the table and Sean was content for a very long time.

More Birthday Fun!

Sean could not get enough of opening the presents on his birthday. He received many cool presents to celebrate his second birthday.
What is in the bag?
We ate pizza and salads before opening the presents. Sean did not want to sit in his chair and tries to kneel in the seat. He ate all his pizza and ran around the house.

Sean's Birthday Dinner

We took Sean to Olive Garden so they could sing to him and give him a big, fat piece of chocolate cake for his birthday. He loved the cake so much he wanted to show us all the frosting on his hands.
Yummy, Yummy Chocolate Cake!
After eating pasta with his Grandparents we went over to Chuck E Cheese and played some of the games. Dave loved to play air hockey against Sean because Sean likes to score on himself and Dave wins. We also played Skee Ball and some other games. Sean tries to grab all the tickets and put them in his back pocket.
