Easter Egg Hunt

Satisfaction at the end of a long Easter Egg Hunt. Sean kept saying "ball", "basketball" and throwing the eggs with his football arm.
Here we are at the beginning of the Easter Egg Hunt. Sean is gathering his eggs and putting them into his basket.
Sean was not into the conventional way of doing the Easter Egg Hunt so he dumped all his eggs out of his basket onto the grass. Then he wanted to try the Easter basket on for size to see if it would fit his head.

Here is the little gang eating the treats they found in their eggs. YUM!

St. Patrick's Day

We had a playdate at night with the little ones and ate Mexican food. Yulp that is right Mexican food on St. Patrick's Day. No one wanted corned beef and cabbage...YUCK! So we opted for tacos, chips (that I could not stop eating), and rice. Sean loved Jack (the dog) and had to chase him around the backyard. He even sat on top of him and gave him big hugs.

The kids used the bubble blower for a couple minutes. Danica had the most fun while Sean and Addi ran around the backyard.

More of Sean with his new best friend. Like I said Jack was being so patient because Sean would not leave him alone. He was so excited he started jumping up and down when he was near the dog.
Here are Sean's yearly St. Patrick's Day pictures. Sean is 19 months during these pictures.
Below is Sean's St. Patrick's Day picture from last year. WOW, how he has grown.

The Petting Zoo

Yeah! I finally got these pictures to work and upload to my computer. Here is the petting zoo gang, can we get a picture where everyone is looking?
Danica and Sean are trying to feed the pony. Once Danica walks away Sean wants nothing to do with feeding the animals. He only wants to feed the animals to grab the feeding shovel away from Danica. At least she was patient with him.
Sean is checking out his friends as they look at the animals.
We went to a local petting zoo to see some animals. Sean did not want to feed the animals unless his friends were doing it also. That is when he would take away their feeding paddles and try to feed the animals himself. We were able to see a camel, donkeys, goats, and ponies. Our favorite was the donkey/zebra mix. It was so neat the see the strips on the donkey. Sean liked to play with the pails and look at the animals.
OOOO! Don't put your hands near your mouth at the petting zoo. When Sean thinks something his funny he brings his hands up to his mouth like he is chuckling.

Sean and His Tools

Sean can not get enough of his new tool bench. He loves to try and twist the screwdriver. He is a real nature at fixing all of his toys. We can let Sean play for a great deal of time with this new tool bench.
Sean is trying to screw in the parts to make the engine fit together. Hey check out the difference between the top and bottom pictures. I got my hair cut this week and now I look so much older. I think we are going to let Sean's hair grow out longer from now on.

Watching the Tiger

Sean met his friends Kailey and Connor at the zoo for a day of fun. Sean would not sit in the stroller and wanted to run around always going the wrong way.

Sean is 19 Months Old

Sean is all smiles! Thanks Aunt Ann for this great photo, we are so glad you have your new camera to take extra pictures for us.
It is so hard to believe that our little guy is not so little anymore. He is running circles around us and we are getting our exercise trying to run as fast as Sean and catch up with him. As it has been for a while, his favorite way to get somewhere is to run as fast as he can. He is not much for the stroller unless you give him some food or something to keep him busy. Once he gets out it is a huge scene to get him back in. Sean is trying to gain his "Independence" and does not want to sit in the high chair anymore. Instead he pulls out the chair and plops himself at the table. There he sits waiting to be fed if it is meal time. We now tell him to put his milk in the refrigerator if he does not want it anymore. So he gets his cup, opens the frige, and sets the milk on the shelf. It is so amazing to see him follow the directions when you give them...phrases like "put your book away or throw this in the garbage" seem some easy to him. Some of Sean's favorite words are Elmo, Dora (the name of his yogurt), read book (mom loves that one so we really encourage that), up, duck, D-dog, B-ball, bubbles, park, tiger, onion, apple, Mom, I want that, it's broke, and milk. At night Sean has now gone pee in the potty twice in the last week. The other time he decided to pee all over the floor and say UUHH-OOOOO! During bath time his dad taught him how to throw the ball out of the bathtub so now all the toys have been flying out or banging on the side of the tub. Some of Sean's favorite books are Elmo's piano (he likes to hear the tunes and dance), If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. Sometimes he likes to spend more time bringing the books over for you to read and putting them away then actually reading them. But we do have our moments when he will sit through 3-4 books at night. Sean loves to be outdoors kicking a ball, playing with bubbles, or throwing rocks through the fence at the pool. He loves to help us outside and today we used our small shovels and potted a plant. When the garage is open he grabs his big ball and runs over to the neighbor's basketball hoop and stands there looking up at it. Dave tries to hold him up and Sean tries to make it in but he is still way too small for it. So we got him his own little basketball net and he runs over and shoots the baskets. It is really funny to watch how he has changed and the new things he loves (hockey is out the window and basketball is his new obsession..sorry Dave). Lately, we have been going for ice cream and seeing the dogs at the pet shop. Sean was so excited the other day that he was jumping up and down and screaming "dog" when we went into the pet store. Some days we have our friends over for play dates and Sean loves to run around and play with his little friends. He just got some new toys like a ramp/garage for his little cars and a pirate ship. Sean can not stop playing with them and you can see his imagination running wild. In the last couple of weeks he has catapulted himself in and out of the pack and play so that is not longer around. Today he had his leg over the side of the crib ready to jump out! The crib conversion might be coming soon than we think. Well I know he is doing more than words can mention so.......high five, knuckles, and blowing kisses....from Sean!

An Afternoon At Freestone

Sean waited patiently to feed the ducks with his bread in hand. He loves to say the word DUCK and thinks that ducks and birds are the same thing. When we drive up to the park he says PARK and starts to get really excited by kicking his feet in his car seat. Then he runs over to the small lake and points to the ducks. We have to watch him closely because he may just decide to dive in with his feathery friends.
Sean is pointing at the ducks as they come over to eat his bread.
After feeding the ducks and walking around the park on a nice 80 degree day we went over to the rides for some more fun. Sean says CHOO-CHOO when he sees the train. The last time we went to the rides he wanted to go on the ferris wheel, carousel, wave runners, and the train. We opted to put him on the wave runner so he could get used to riding by himself. He was so funny as he held on and went around in a circle. He was acting serious and unsure so he would not crack a smile.
